Intro to Visual Communication

The Washington Post recently used a word cloud in their coverage of President Obama's State of the Uniion in Jan 2010. One of the workshops I do is on visual communication and we talk about word clouds, screencasts, timelines and other visual tools to convey information.

Using Prezi in the Classroom

Prezi.com is easily my favorite web 2.0 tool. I have used it effectively in presentations. Below is a presentation I gave to the CTL Advisory group. I'm still investigating classroom uses. This week will be the unveiling.

Beyond the PDF

I used to get really excited about PDFs. I was an early adopter in using these for any web posts back in the early 2000s. I started to investigate some new formats for using PDFs in more collaborative and interactive ways.
